Peter HOLDER - 1860 Census - I am having difficulty finding my Peter Holder in KY where he was born, married and had several children. I found a James K. P. HOLDER in an index for the 1860 census, on pg. 475, Caneyville. If anyone has access to this census, I would appreciate knowing the details. Neafus is not her maiden name she was md once before she md Isaac.When she passed away she was living with her son-in-law, J.H. Tucker in Neafus Ky.(that is the name of the town they lived in.) Seek info on Seth Lee Montgomery who lived here in the early part of 1960. He was b. ca March 30, 1888 and died around July 1963. I think he was b. around Greenup or at Grayson, KY. As far as I know he was b. a Reynolds and was raised as a Montgomery. He took the name Montgomery but was never legally adopted. He had a sister by the name of Mary who md Bill Boss from Portsmouth, Ohio.

She had several boys which she had to place in an an orphanage in Grayson County for a short time because she could not take care of them at the time. Desparate after 30 year search, to find birth, mar & death dates for Edward, Edmund BLANKENSHIP. He was living in Hardin Co and worked some in Breckenridge Co but lived at Vertrees area which is near the juncture of these and Meade Co.. He married Mary Ann PRIEST. Also need all info on her. She d. abt 1865. Believe the father of Ed was William BLANKENSHIP who was written about in the 1878 Meade Co Record as being oldest man in KY in 1878 at age 113! His wife and two chdn were in Grayson Co census in 1880 so Wm must have died between 1878 and 1880. Does anyone know his death date? Can anyone look up in the Meade Co Record for those two years for any items about his death? Seek info on my family names-Young and Patterson William Young (B. 29 Dec 1773 Germany) md Mary Polla Compton (B. 12 Nov 1785) in Ohio Co., KY. William d. in Grayson Co. 29 Dec 1847. Mary Polla d. 29 Nov 1877. There son, Compton Young was b. 2 Dec 1824 in Grayson Co.. He md an Emily Coats. Compton d. 27 Nov 1890 in Grayson Co., KY. He is buried in the Young Cemetery in Tousey, KY. Does anyone know if this is the cemetery near Short Creek KY. It sits on top a knoll and has a fence around it, with very nice granite stones. Slaves are said to be buried underneath field stones in the back of the cemetery. Their daughter, Polly Ann Young married a John Claybourne Duggins. Joseph (Joslip) Patterson (Born in Leesburg, VA 1767) md Sarah (Sallie) Martin who was born in Leesburg, Va in 1786. Both d. in Grayson Co., KY. (Dates and burial locations unknown to me) Their Son, William Morgan Patterson was born on 12 Jul 1808 in Ohio Co., KY. He d. of the fever on 13 Aug 1845. He is buried at the Shain Cemetery at Pine Knob, Ky. (Grayson Co.). He md Susannah Shain on 27 Sep 1827 in Grayson Co., KY. She was b. on 7 Nov 1810 and d. 1 Apr 1884. I think she is buried in the Patterson Cemetery in Tousey, Ky. (I do not know anything about this cemetery). Their son, John Marion (Mage) Patterson was b. on 9 Nov 1828 in Grayson Co., KY. and d. on 7 Jul 1894. He is buried at the Patterson Cemetery in Tousey, KY. (Grayson Co., KY.) He md Margaret Day on 1 Mar 1853 in Grayson Co., KY. She was b. 5 Dec 1834 and d. 29 May 1874. She is supposed to also be buried at the Patterson Cemetery. Their son, was William Robert Patterson who md a Sarah Ann McDaniel.
